Los Angeles Clippers DFS Notes
Kawhi Leonard scored 23 points on 9-of-19 shooting (1-of-4 3-pointers) and added 7 rebounds, three assists and one steal with zero turnovers in Tuesday's Game 1 loss to Utah. The Clippers finished the regular season shooting 41.3 percent from the three-point line, which led the league and was the fourth-best percentage all-time in a regular season. Unfortunately for the Clippers, they shot 16-42 from three on Tuesday, good for 38.1%, but didn't make the timely ones down the stretch and even had a 3-pointer blocked at the buzzer to seal their fate. Paul George had an ugly 20 points and 10 rebounds, as he shot 4-of-17 from the floor (3-of-8 3-pointers) and had just two assists with two turnovers in 37 minutes. Leonard and George are also known as two of the best wing defenders in the NBA, and they will have to figure out a way to slow down Donovan Mitchell in Game 2 and for the rest of the series.
Utah Jazz DFS Notes
Rudy Gobert has been named the NBA's Defensive Player of the Year. This marks the third time he's won the award in the last four seasons and he'll join Dikembe Mutombo, Ben Wallace and Dwight Howard as the only other players to win it at least three times. Gobert got 84 of 100 first-place votes and Ben Simmons finished second in the voting.
