Mitchell continues stellar play
Utah rookie shooting guard Donovan Mitchell hardly looks like a rookie and has played outstanding basketball in the first two playoff games of his career. After scoring 27 in his postseason debut, he added 28 points in a 102-95 Game 2 victory as the Jazz evened the series at a game apeice. Mitchell made several highlight reel played and helped the visitors put the game away with a big fourth quarter. He was helped out in part by a huge game from Derrick Favors, who contributed 20 points along with 16 rebounds and three assists.
Grant gives good minutes off bench
Oklahoma City backup small forward Jerami Grant was given 30 minutes of playing time in Game 2 and made the most of it, scoring 13 points while pulling down six rebounds and adding an assist. It was more than double the minutes he was given in Game 1 when he scored four points in 14 minutes. Despite the loss, Grant was a plus-1 when on the court. He essentially served as the Thunder's sixth man this season, averaging 8.4 points and 3.9 rebounds in 20.3 minutes per game. He could be looking at a solid number of minutes in Game 3 as well considering his positive influence in the last game.
