Pacers vs. Timberwolves Prediction
Will tonight's Pacers and Timberwolves matchup at 8:00PM ET go over the betting total in Minnesota?
According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetDSI, the Timberwolves are 3-point home favorites versus the Pacers after opening as a 5-point favorite. As for the total, the number hit the board at 213.5 before falling to 211.5.
The Pacers have dropped three straight games, with losses at the Lakers, at the Jazz and versus the Knicks. They failed to cover the spread in all three matchups, including twice as a favorite. Myles Turner hit 8-of-12 shots and 6-of-6 free throws for 22 points, 10 rebounds and two blocks, recording his ninth double-double of the season in the loss to the Knicks on Monday.
Conversely, the Timberwolves have won three straight games, including victories at the Clippers, versus the Nuggets and at the Suns, although they failed to cover in two of those three games. In the win versus the Suns, Ricky Rubio racked up a double-double with 14 points and 10 assists, while Andrew Wiggins scored 31 points and hit the game-winning shot.
OUR PREDICTION: The over is 13-4-1 in the last 18 meetings between these two teams and is 6-2-1 in their last nine games in Minnesota. The over has also cashed in six of the Timberwolves' last seven games versus Central opponents and is 4-1-1 in the Pacers' last six games when taking on a team with a losing record. The over is also 10-4 in Indiana's last 14 games when its opponent scores 100 points or more in its previous game.
