Kings vs. Magic Pick
Are the host Orlando Magic going to cruise to a win tonight when they host the Sacramento Kings at 7PM ET?
Who Oddsmakers Like: Orlando. According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, the Magic are listed as a 6.5-point favorite on the spread line. The total is set at 213 points. Orlando opened as a 6-point fave, while the over-under has gone up from 211.
Who the Oddsmakers Like: Sacramento. As of Tuesday morning, 60 percent of public bets have come in on the Kings.
Injury Report: Kings forward Harry Giles is recovering from surgery on both knees and is out for the season. Frank Mason is out until late February with a heel injury. For the Magic, Arron Afflalo has completed his two-game suspension and is eligible to return tonight. Nikola Vucevic is out until late February with a broken hand. Jonathan Isaac is out indefinitely with an ankle injury. Terrence Ross is out indefinitely with a sprained MCL.
Who the Trends Like: The over is 4-0 in the last four Sacramento games following an ATS win. The Kings are 0-4 ATS in their last four games following an ATS win. Orlando is 4-0 ATS in its last four games after scoring 100 or more points in its previous game.
Who We Like: Sacramento put in a respectable performance last night in a 112-107 loss at Charlotte, but asking the mediocre Kings to find their resolve again tonight seems like too much to ask. Orlando, crazy as it sounds, has played fantastic basketball in its last three games with wins over Minnesota at home plus a road victory at Boston. The lone loss was a 104-103 defeat where they put quite a scare into host Cleveland. Although the opponent doesn't do much to get the blood flowing, I'm going to bank on the Magic enjoying their new-found solid play with another victory and cover of the spread here.
