Timberwolves vs. Magic Pick
Are the Minnesota Timberwolves going to ease to a victory tonight when they play at the Orlando Magic? Game time is 7PM ET.
Who Oddsmakers Like: Minnesota. According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, the Timberwolves are set as an 8-point favorite on the spread line. The total is set at 217 points. Minnesota opened as a 6-point fave, while the total has gone up after opening at 216 points.
Who the Public Likes: As of Tuesday morning, 67 percent of bets have been placed on the Timberwolves.
Injury Report: Minnesota center Justin Patton is out indefinitely after offseason foot surgery. For the Magic, Nikola Vucevic is targeting a late February return from a broken hand. Jonathan Isaac is out indefinitely with an ankle injury. Terrence Ross is out indefinitely with a sprained MCL.
Who the Trends Like: Minnesota is 2-8 ATS in the last 10 meetings. The over is 6-1 in the last seven meetings in Orlando and 4-1 in the last five meetings overall.
Who We Like: Orlando has lost seven in a row and are making a case for the worst team in the NBA. Certainly, not having Vucevic out of the lineup hurts, but he might not help in a matchup with Minnesota since he plays litte to no defense and is a terrible matchup on that end of the floor against Karl-Anthony Towns. Instead, Towns will go head-to-head with Bismack Biyombo and should have his way anyway as he is one of the most talented offensive centers in the NBA. The T-Wolves have won five in a row, one game by 10 points and the other four by at least 16 points. I don't expect Minnesota to slow down here.
