Titans vs. Dolphins
UNDER 45

The host Dolphins and the visiting Titans have gone under in 11 of their L/13 versus each other here in Miami...with an average combined score clicking in at 32.8 points per game going under by an average of 8.5 ppg. Considering both these teams offences sputtered last season, with Tennessee averaging 17.6 ppg and the Fins averaging 20.6 ppg, and also considering off season adjustments show little in the way of imminent advancement from my perspective , it will not be a hard decision for me to recommend we take an under stance here with this tilt.

Under is 4-1 in Titans last 5 vs. AFC.Under is 8-3 in Titans last 11 games in Week 1.Under is 8-2 in Dolphins last 10 games in Week 1.

NFL Road teams where the total is between 42.5 and 49 points (TENNESSEE) - good rushing defense from last season - allowed 90 or less rushing yards/game, in conference games are 24-4 UNDER L/34 seasons for a 86% conversion rate for bettors on the blind with a combined average of 37.5 ppg scored.

Jack’s Free Pick Sunday: San Francisco 49ers +6.5

Admittedly, the Minnesota Vikings have been one of my favorite teams to back ever since Mike Zimmer took over. They have made me a lot of money. But they were usually in the underdog or small favorite role over the past few seasons. I believe after making the NFC Championship Game last year, they are clearly overvalued now. 2018 may finally be the year it’s not profitable to back the Vikings blindly.

The odds appear to have caught up with the Vikings already in Week 1. They are being asked to win by a touchdown or more here to cover this 6.5-point spread against an improving 49ers team. It’s a 49ers team that opened 1-10 last year before inserting Jimmy Garoppolo into the starting lineup. The rest was history.

Garoppolo improved to 7-0 as a starting quarterback in the NFL dating back to his time with the Patriots. He went 5-0 as a 49er to close the season. The offense was vastly improved, and the defense got better as well because they weren’t on the field as much. The 49ers outgained their final five opponents by an average of 108 yards per game and were one of the best teams in the NFL from Week 13-on.

Now Garoppolo has had an entire offseason to grasp Kyle Shanahan’s system. I believe Shanahan to be the best offensive mind in the game, and there’s proof dating back to his time with the Redskins and Falcons, especially the Falcons. Garoppolo excelled with limited weapons last season, but now the 49ers get their No. 1 receiver back healthy in Pierre Garcon, who he didn’t get the pleasure of working with last year.

The Vikings are going through some big changes this season on offense. They lost their coordinator Pat Shurmur, who is now the head coach of the Giants. John DeFilippo will be a first-time offensive coordinator. I don’t believe Kirk Cousins is much of an upgrade over Case Keenum. Cousins was shaky in the preseason and won’t be hitting on all cylinders in Week 1.

So despite the fact that the Vikings still have an elite defense, I question if they have the offensive punch to cover this big of a number in their opener. The 49ers are notorious fast starters, going 6-1 ATS in their last seven Week 1 games. I think they get the job done for us here. Bet the 49ers Sunday.

Packers -7

This play just missed out on our premium card. The Green Bay Packers and the Chicago Bears face off on Sunday night football and in this game the value lies with the Packers.

The Packers are the better team with Aaron Rodgers and don't let the fact the Bears have Khalil Mack fool you, they aren't staying in this game.

The Bears offense is still a big issue this year and it's what will hold them back this year. The Packers will have too much offense in this game.

Back the Packers

The Bills could have the worst offense in football. They have a very mediocre wide receiving corps and Nathan Peterman under center. Last year, he played in one game and had way too many interceptions to ever be starting again. Baltimore's defense will be very good by the end of the season. They won't have Jimmy Smith due to suspension, but it won't be an issue here. Baltimore's offense showed some flashes in the preseason with Joe Flacco under center. It'll be interesting to see if Lamar Jackson gets a package of plays to give teams a different look. John Brown and Michael Crabtree aren't a bad duo of wide receivers. Buffalo will have a rookie middle linebacker making calls in a tough atmosphere. I'd love for this thing to dip below a touchdown, but if it doesn't I'll still take it.

Dolphins (+) over Titans

To start with this match-up makes my skin crawl. To start with the Titans who two me down twice in the pre-season were 0-4 both straight-up and ATS and now they open the 'favorite on the road...very confusing. I should by all mean take Tennessee except for what I believe might be the key factor. New coaches some are good some are no so good but one thing they have in common is that these new coaches try to instill a 'winnings culture' and Mike Vrabel has been a total flop to date. Is he just laying low as this was a playoff team last year, maybe...but, if not the Titans will be a go-against all season. It might be a matter for who controls the pawns...Take MIAMI!

Ricky's 1* Free play on the Vikings:

Key Angle: It's important to remember that Ricky never makes a bet on any game based on just one angle. In order to make the grade, all his premium picks must meet several important criteria. He doesn't share all his secrets within his analysis, instead he chooses to reveal only the angle that he feels is the most significant. In today's game there is no doubt that the Vikings defense is particularly significant.

Key Trends:

- The Vikings allowed opponents to average just 15.3 points per game last year (1st in NFL).

- The Vikings allowed opponents to average just 275 total yards per game last year (1st in NFL).

- The Home team is 7-2 ATS in their last 9 meetings.

Verdict: Take Minnesota

Vikings-6

Sunday's FREE NFL WINNER: Minnesota Vikings over San Francisco 49ers.

Game 456.

Jimmy Garopolo's win streak as a starter is well-documented. But playing a Mike Zimmer-coached Minnesota defense will put an end to that. Jimmy G does not have a true ball-carrier to ease some of the offensive burden. While the 49ers are going to be a better team than in recent years, I just don't think they are quite at the level of one of the NFL's elite. There has been some talk about the Vikings OL injuries and a possible transition delay with Kirk Cousins. But this is a deep-well-coached, Minny team. The Home Team is 7-2 ATS the L9 meetings. The Vikings are 7-1 ATS the L8 in September, 34-16-1 ATS the L51 at home, and 42-19 ATS the L61 overall. Under a TD, lay the wood here. Take Minnesota. Thank you.

SEAN MURPHY

Sunday NFL Free play. My selection is on Tennessee over Miami at 1 pm et on Sunday.

It seems that a lot of bettors are willing to give the Dolphins a pass for their miserable season last year, pinning it on the injury to QB Ryan Tannehill. He's back in the fold this year, but his supporting cast is weaker than it was two years ago as far as I'm concerned.

The Titans are dealing with some key injuries but I still believe they have the personnel in place to succeed. Mike Vrabel will be making his regular season head coaching debut and we know that new head coaches are generally a solid ATS play in Week 1. I expect that to hold true here. All indications are that the Titans players have bought in to what Vrabel is selling.

Tennessee hasn't received as much press as it has in previous years, despite the fact that it not only reached the postseason last year, but won a game before bowing out to New England in blowout fashion in the divisional round. Some may believe that run to the playoffs was a fluke, but I see this as a team on the rise, and one that will be highly motivated to succeed in Week 1.

While there are plenty of question marks surrounding both of these teams, I believe the Titans have a much higher celing, and a lot more upside entering opening week. Look for Marcus Mariota to make amends for missing last year's matchup with the Dolphins - a game the Titans lost.

Play - Cleveland Browns (Game 454).

Edges - Browns: 3-0 ATS last three games in this series; and 3-1 ATS in last four home openers … Steelers: 6-12 SU and 4-13-1 ATS in road openers, including 1-8 ATS in division games … With that we’ll back the victory-starved Browns. We recommend a 1* play on Cleveland. Thank you and good luck as always.

Steelers vs. Browns
Browns+5 -110

The Pittsburgh Steelers have a tendency to play down to their opponents, and while Cleveland Browns have lost the last six meetings, none of the last three were decided by more than four points.

The Browns are just 1-31 overall over the last two seasons, but this is a very different side with 31 players on the roster who weren't there last year.

Their new quarterback duo, Tyrod Taylor and No. 1 overall pick Heisman Trophy winner Baker Mayfield, should feed off each other and can do plenty of damage this season. Cleveland also has added running back Carlos Hyde, who's coming off a good season with the 49ers where he had a career-high 1,288 scrimmage yards and eight rushing touchdowns.

Pittsburgh will be without running back Le'Veon Bell as he as of Friday had yet to report to the team, still holding out for a new contract. That leaves the Steelers very one-dynamic and Cleveland can put all focus on shutting down QB Ben Roethlisberger.

Steelers are 1-6 ATS in their last seven games overall, and I think this is too many points to cover on the road.

Free pick on Cleveland Browns.

Bills vs. Ravens
1 Unit FREE PLAY on Baltimore Ravens -7.5

The Ravens are going to be a playoff team this season. The drafting of Lamar Jackson has lit a fire under Joe Flacco, and reports out of the team camp is that Flacco is in the best shape he’s been in a long time and motivated for a big season. I like his new weapons in WR’s Michael Crabtree and John Brown. The Ravens went 5-0 this preseason. They once again have a very good defense. That defense is going to give Buffalo QB Nathan Peterman fits. Peterman is probably the worst starting QB in the NFL right now, and he has limited weapons on the outside. The Bills are a rebuilding team that won’t be ready to compete with the Ravens in Week 1. The home team is 6-1 ATS in the last seven meetings. The Bills are 1-4 ATS in their last five meetings in Baltimore. Give me the Ravens.

The NFL Comp play is on the Under in the Tennessee at Miami game at 1:00 eastern. These two have played under in 8 of the last 10 here including last years snooze fest with just 26 points scored. This game fits a solid 85% week 1 totals system that plays under for non division road favorites with a total of 44 or more. The Dolphins have stayed under in 8 of 10 in week ones games and the Titans are 4 of 5 under vs AFC Teams. Look for this one to stay under.

Cowboys vs. Panthers
1* Free Pick on Dallas Cowboys +3

Most are going to be quick to back the Panthers laying just a field goal at home, but I think the value here is clearly with the Cowboys. Dallas is coming off a 9-7 season after that breakout campaign in 2016. A big reason they didn't live up to the hype is the suspension and off the field drama surrounding Ezekiel Elliott and injuries to star players like Sean Lee.

With Elliott 100% locked in on just playing football, I look for this Cowboys offense to take off in 2018. I know there's concerns with the lack of weapons at wide receiver and tight end, but the passing attack is going to be built around spreading the ball. Keep in mind teams are going to have to load the box to stop the run, so guys are going to be open on the outside.

As for the Panthers offense, I'm just not a fan of Cam Newton and I don't know that he's exactly liked inside the locker room. Either way, I think the Panthers offense is going to struggle to move the ball against what I think is a very underrated Dallas defense that is loaded with young talent. Take Dallas!

Free NFL Play for Sunday is on the Cincinnati Bengals

The home side has won the last eight meetings and the Bengals have lost eight straight at Indy, the last being a 2014 playoff game. That's all old news as the Colts try and figure things out with an Andrew Luck who basically hasn't played in three years and a Bengal team on the improve. The Colts have lost four straight home openers and are 1-9 ATS in Week One the L10 years whole the Bengals are very respectable 18-12-2 road dogs the last four years. Do some shopping and take the three

Not just your normal Pittsburgh-Cleveland AFC North clash this time around. For one thing, the Steelers have been big-time distracted with the hold-out of Le'Veon Bell and his contract demands, for another, the Browns are this season's "chic" team thanks to their cable TV appearance on "Hard Knocks" this season.

One thing for sure though, I do not see the scoring adding up to an Over at First Energy Stadium in the season opener. Especially with the field likely to be under water from the rain that is falling in Cleveland all day today.

The Browns allowed no more than 19-points in any of their 4 preseason games last month, as 3 of their 4 practice games held Under the total.

The Steelers did their fair share of scoring and allowing points too, but that is Mike Tomlin's preseason MO, so I won't put too much stock in those results. Instead, I will take Pittsburgh's 8-0-1 Under mark their last 9 road games out for a test drive today. Included is an Under last September in their series meeting in Cleveland. That puts the Under at 5 in a row in series games played in Cleveland between the division rivals. The Under is also 8-3 now the last 11 times these teams have played.

Throw in the Steelers having played Under in each of their last 5 September games, and the Brownies 11-2 Under run their last 13 games played at home, and we have the recipe for a Week One Under.

Steelers-Browns land Under one more time on Cleveland's field.

RAY CHADWICK

Interestingly, the Niners lose Jerrick McKinnon to an ACL injury at the end of the preseason, and the line on this game at Minnesota doesn't move at all?!?!

That has my "spidey senses" tingling!

San Francisco ended last season on a 5 game win and cover streak with their new franchise quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo under center, as Jimmy G is now a perfect 7-0 in the NFL when he starts - went 2-0 for New England with Tom Brady sidelined.

You know what they say? All good things gotta come to an end, and that perfect run comes to an end in Minny today as the Vikings open the season with their new franchise quarterback Kirk Cousins under center for his first real start as a Norseman.

Minnesota made it all the way to the NFC Championship Game last January before getting humiliated at Philadelphia, but they have been a money play at home where they are 15-4-2 against the spread when laying points since 2015. They have also covered 10 of their last 11 regular season games at U.S. Bank Stadium, and they have also covered in 14 of their last 15 as a non-division home favorite.

The Vikings defense will be up for the cause as they look to hand Garoppolo his first loss as a pro starter.

Minnesota to take care of business in Kirk Cousins' debut.

3* MINNESOTA
__________________

TRACE ADAMS

Tampa Bay started their preseason with wins and covers in their first two games, but reality set in there after, as the Bucs were on the short side in their last 2 preseason affairs. Now the season begins for real, and it begins with their starting quarterback, Jameis Winston suspended for the opening 3 weeks of the year.

Ryan Fitzpatrick is a steady veteran, but he is no Drew Brees.

Bress and the Saints are on a mission after getting stunned in their divisional playoff game up in Minnesota last January - no need to rehash that here - and this home opener should see New Orleans and their rowdy home crowd dancing the "Who 'Dat" dance in the aisles of the Superdome all afternoon long.

The host in this series is 4-0 both straight up and against the spread the past 2 seasons. New Orleans has won outright in 7 of the past 10 NFC South matchups, and they have covered in 5 of the last 7 series games contested in the Big Easy. Sean Payton's teams has also covered in each of their last 5 division regular season home games since last year.

New Orleans has been talked about as one of the teams to watch out of the NFC this season, and against a Tampa Bay team that looks like it will be the cellar-dweller of the South Division, things will be joyous - they normally are anyway - on Bourbon Street after this game is final.

Saints by a comfortable 17-points.

Sam Bradford's health is the key for the Arizona Cardinals and he is ready to go and so is the best running back in football ready to make his return in David Johnson this guy can change games by himself. Adrian Peterson makes his firs start for the Skins but in IMO he's washed up and has little value. Arizona is 9-4 SU in it's last 13 games at home versus the Redskins. Love the Cardinals minus the points for a 15* winner this afternoon.

Steelers/Browns 1:00: Browns had a complete overhaul in their roster from a year ago and ready to grab some wins. Value with the Browns here on their home turf against a Steelers team that still needs holes filled. RB Bell still not signed so Conner will carry the load. And the Browns' defense looked respectable in pre-season with Miles Garrett healthy on the edge. Browns' offense should put some points on the board today with former Steelers' OC Haley ready to stick it to his old boss. He should find a way for QB Taylor to dissect a Steelers' defense that doesn't have an adequate replacement for mike linebacker Shazier. Steelers 2-5 ATS in Week 1 and should find a competitive Browns team ready to stop the bleeding.
