NFL Week 4 Opening Line Report
With Week 3 nearly in the books, here's a look at the opening lines for Week 4 in the NFL.
The Week 4 action kicks off in Green Bay on Thursday night when the Packers host NFC North Division rival the Chicago Bears at 8:25PM ET. According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, the Packers opened as a 7.5-point favorite and that's where the line currently sits. As for the total, the number hit the board at 45.5 and has yet to move.
On Sunday morning, the Saints and Dolphins will battle across the pond as the NFL continues its International Series at 9:30AM ET. After the game opened as a pick'em, New Orleans moved to -2.5 at most sports books. The total, meanwhile, sits at 50 points after hitting the board at the same number.
As for the early action on Sunday, the Patriots are 8.5-point home favorites versus the Panthers while the 2-1 Rams are 8.5-point road underdogs at Dallas. The line has yet to be posted for the Detroit-Minnesota game (probably because oddsmakers are waiting to see if Sam Bradford will return from injury), while Tennessee is a 1-point road favorite at Houston. The Jaguars are also a road favorite in New York, where the Jets are 3.5-point home underdogs. The Browns are also 3-point home dogs versus the Bengals while the Steelers are 2.5-point road favorites at the Ravens. Finally, the Falcons are anywhere between 8.5 and 9-point home favorites to beat the Bills.
In Sunday's late action, the Bucs are 3.5-point home favorites to beat the winless Giants while the Eagles and Chargers matchup is listed as a pick'em at most sports books. The Cardinals are also between 6.5 and 7-point home favorites to beat the 49ers while the Broncos have opened as 2-point home favorites to beat the Raiders at 4:25PM ET in Denver.
Finally, the Sunday Night Football Game has the Andrew Luck-less Colts traveling to Seattle to take on the struggling Seahawks at 8:30PM ET. The Seahawks opened as 13.5-point favorites but the line has dropped a full point to 12.5. The total for that game sits at 41 points.
As for the Monday night matchup, the Redskins find themselves back in primetime after upsetting the Raiders on Sunday night. The unbeaten Chiefs are 7-point home favorites to knock off the Redskins, who opened as 9-point dogs before beating Oakland.
