NFL Week 2 Point Spreads & Totals

Week 1 is now in the books and as we look ahead to the second week, let’s take a look at the biggest and smallest spreads, as well as the highest and lowest totals for Week 2.

Biggest Spread

Despite upsetting the Colts as a 7.5-point home dog in Week 1, the Jaguars are once again an underdog in Week 2. This time, Jacksonville is on the road and this time, the Jags are double-digit underdogs versus the Titans, who are -11. The Jags are 0-4-1 against the spread in their last five games in Tennessee and are 1-5 against the number in their last six games versus the Titans overall.

Smallest Spread

After the Eagles were shocked by Washington in Week 1, they now find themselves as slight underdogs versus the 1-0 Rams at 1:00 p.m. ET on Sunday. Philly opened as a 4.5-point underdog, but is now a 1-point dog to a Rams team that beat the Cowboys on Sunday Night Football in Week 1. That said, the Rams are 0-6 against the spread in their last six games versus the Eagles and are winless at the betting window in their last four trips to Philadelphia.

Highest Total

Looking for points? You’ll likely find them this week in Dallas, where the Cowboys host the Falcons at 1:00 p.m. ET. Atlanta’s defense surrendered 38 points at home to Russell Wilson and the Seahawks last week and once again look like a unit that could hemorrhage points again this season. With the Cowboys listed as a 5-point home favorite, the over/under sits at 52 points. The over is 5-2 in the Falcons’ last seven road games but is 5-2 in their last seven games as an underdog. On the other side, the over is 11-5 in the Cowboys’ last 16 home games and is 13-6 in their last 19 games overall.

Lowest Total

The AFC East matchup between the Bills and Dolphins in Miami figures to be a defensive battle, at least according to oddsmakers. After the total posted at 43, the number dropped to 41.5. The over is 8-2 in the last 10 meetings between these two teams but the under is 6-1 in the Bills’ last seven games overall and is 20-7 in Buffalo’s last 27 road games. On the other side, the over is 6-1 in the Dolphins’ last seven games dating back to last season and is a perfect 4-0 in their last four games as a home underdog.

Largest Home Dog

Listed as an 8.5-point pup, the Chargers are the largest home underdog in Week 2 versus the defending Super Bowl champion Chiefs. Kansas City is 5-1-1 against the spread in its last seven meetings with the Chargers and is 7-0 against the number in its last seven road games versus the Bolts. The Chargers re also 1-5-1 against the number in their last seven games overall and are 0-5-1 against the spread in their last six divisional games.
