Colts vs. Rams Prediction
Will the Rams pick up their first victory of the season when they host the Colts at 4:05PM ET?
Who: Colts (0-0) vs. Rams (0-0)
When: 4:05PM ET, Sunday, September 10
Where: Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum, Los Angeles, CA
According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, the Rams are now a 4.5-point home favorite to beat the Colts while the over/under for this game currently sits at 41.5 points.
Back when oddsmakers thought Andrew Luck would play in this game, the Colts opened as a 3-point road favorite. But when it was discovered Luck could miss the game (he will), then the line jumped the fence. Now the Rams are 4.5-point home favorites. The total, meanwhile, hit the board at 47.5 but has been bet all the way down to 41.5.
Public Betting Information
Public bettors are hammering the home team at the betting window. As of this writing, 73% of tickets are on the Rams minus the points.
OUR PREDICTION: The Rams are a tad overrated heading into the season (it seems like some believe this team is a sleeper, but I'm not among them), but I like them today. The Colts are massively depleted on both sides of the ball. Scott Tolzien will start in place of Luck, plus center Ryan Kelly and top cornerback Vontae Davis are ruled out. The Rams will have an extra spring in their step in Sean McVay's head-coaching debut and while this might be only one of Los Angeles' four wins on the season, I do like them to win this afternoon at home.
