Wildcats on a losing streak
Arizona is riding a four-game losing streak right now following a 56-38 loss at home to Oregon State two weeks ago. The Wildcats are now 4-5 on the season, 2-4 in the Pac-12, 2-6-1 against the spread and 6-3 with the over.
The Wildcats have been a disaster on defense this year, allowing 37.3 points and 481.9 yards per game. Offensively, Arizona has been pretty strong. The Cats are putting up 32.9 points and 495.8 yards per contest. Khalil Tate and Grant Gunnell have both seen action at QB this year. They have combined for 2,698 passing yards and 21 touchdowns. Tate has added 312 rushing yards and three touchdowns while J.J. Taylor is the leading rusher with 566 yards and five scores.
Ducks make it eight straight
Oregon is on an eight-game winning streak following the 56-24 win at USC two weeks ago. The Ducks are now 8-1 on the season, 6-0 in the Pac-12, 5-4 against the spread and 5-4 with the under.
The Ducks have been among the best on both sides of the ball this season. Defensively, Oregon is allowing just 15.8 points and 315.6 yards per contest. On offense, Oregon is averaging 38.2 points and 463 yards per outing. Quarterback Justin Herbert is leading the team with 2,329 yards and 24 touchdowns passing while CJ Verdell has rushed for 765 yards and five touchdowns. Jacob Breeland is the team’s leading receiver with 26 catches for 405 yards and six touchdowns.
College Football Betting Trends
Arizona
The Wildcats have hit the over in six of their last seven against a winning team and in four straight games in November.
Oregon
The Ducks are 9-3 with the under in their last 12 games following a bye week and 17-8-1 with the under in their last 26 games following a win.
Prediction:
Despite traditionally being two strong offensive teams, these two have hit the under in six straight meetings. Arizona’s been a disaster on defense and that should lead to a lot of points for Oregon on Saturday. The key to the total will be how many points the Wildcats can score on the Ducks. Oregon’s defense has been a little suspect in recent weeks, allowing 90 points over their last three games. That could open the door for Arizona to put up around 30 points on Saturday as well. I would expect a shootout on Saturday night.
