SAN ANTONIO, TX (The Spread) – The 2012 Alamo Bowl features Texas taking on Oregon State at 6:45PM ET from the Alamodome. Here is a look at the odds for this contest.

Oregon State is 9-3 on the season and 8-4 against the spread while Texas is 8-4 overall and 5-7 against the spread. Both teams have hit the over 6 times on the season. These two teams last met in 1987 with Texas earning a 61-16 victory.

Texas ended the season on a two-game losing streak, suffering losses to TCU and Kansas State. The Longhorns had a disappointing season, going 5-4 in Big 12 play. The offense hasn’t been bad, averaging 36.1 points per game, but the defense has not been solid, allowing 29.4 points per contest for the season. The team has been led by quarterback David Ash, who has thrown for 2,458 yards and 17 touchdowns.

In terms of Injuries, Oregon State fullback Tyler Anderson is expected to miss this game with a knee injury while running back Jordan Jenkins is out with a knee injury. Texas defensive tackle Ashton Dorsey (concussion) and tackle Trey Hopkins (leg) are both expected to miss Saturday’s game.
