Updated Heisman Odds
The 2009 Heisman Trophy ceremony is right around the corner and oddsmakers have released updated odds on all the top candidates up for college football’s most prestigious trophy. Bet 2009 Heisman Trophy Prop Odds Alabama running back Mark Ingram is currently the favorite to win this year’s Heisman at Even odds. He has helped the Crimson Tide stay undefeated on the season by rushing for 1,399 yards and 12 touchdowns on 205 attempts. Oddsmakers from online sports book SPORTSBETTING.com have given Texas quarterback Colt McCoy the next best odds behind Ingram at 2/1. McCoy, who was also a finalist in last year’s Heisman race, has compiled a fantastic season up until this point. He currently has thrown for 3,024 yards with 23 touchdowns and has combined a 152.53 QB rating. Right behind McCoy is Stanford running back Toby Gerhart, whom has seemingly come out of nowhere to join the 2009 Heisman Trophy race. Gerhart, who currently has 1,531 rushing yards and 23 touchdowns on 282 attempts, has 2.5/1 odds to win. Rounding out the rest of the candidates are Florida quarterback and former Heisman winner Tim Tebow at 5/1 and Boise State signal caller Kellen Moore at 12/1. Tebow won the 2007 Heisman and was a finalist along with McCoy in 2008.
