College Football Week 9 Odds

(The Spread) – The ninth week of the 2012 College Football Season is next up and has plenty of key matchups. Here is a look at the odds for each contest this week.

The featured game of Week 9 is a non-conference clash with No. 8 Oklahoma hosting No. 5 Notre Dame at 8PM ET. According to oddsmakers from Bovada.lv, Oklahoma is opening as a 10-point favorite against the Fighting Irish. Notre Dame comes into the game at 7-0 overall and 2-0 on the road while Oklahoma is 5-1 overall and 3-1 at home. The Fighting Irish are 4-3 against the spread this year while the Sooners are 4-2 ATS. This two last met in 1999 with Notre Dame getting a 34-30 victory.

The other featured game comes in the SEC with No. 1 Alabama hosting No. 13 Mississippi State at 8:30PM ET in a game featuring two unbeaten teams. According to oddsmakers, Alabama opens as a 24-point favorite at home against the Bulldogs. Mississippi State is 7-0 overall and 2-0 on the road while Alabama is 7-0 overall and 4-0 at home. The Tide are 4-3 against the spread this year while the Bulldogs are 5-2 ATS. Alabama has won three straight against Mississippi State.
