MIAMI, FL (The Spread) – No. 12 Florida State hits the road for a ACC rivalry game on Saturday as it faces Miami at 8PM ET on ABC.

Florida State is 6-1 overall, 3-1 in the ACC and 1-1 on the road. Miami is 4-3 overall, 3-1 in conference play and 2-1 at home. The Hurricanes are 4-3 against the spread while the Seminoles are 2-4 ATS. Florida State has won three of its last four against Miami.

Trends show the road team has covered the spread in the last 6 games of this series, while the underdog has covered in 12 of the last 13 meetings between these two. These two have also hit the over in 4 of their last 5 meetings.

According to oddsmakers from Bovada.lv Florida State is the clear road favorite in this game, as the Seminoles have odds of -21 points at Miami. The over/under total has been set at 57 points. Florida State is coming off a 51-7 win over Boston College last week. The Seminoles’ lone loss this year was 17-16 at N.C. State two weeks ago. On the year, FSU is averaging 46 points per game on offense while allowing 11.6 points per contest on defense. Leading the Seminoles this year is quarterback E.J. Manuel, who has thrown for 1,804 yards with 14 touchdowns.

Miami is coming off an 18-14 loss to North Carolina last week. The Hurricanes have now lost two straight, but do own a win over N.C. State at the end of September. Miami comes into the game wounded, as quarterback Stephen Morris is doubtful to play with an ankle injury. He has thrown for 1,991 yards and nine touchdowns on the year. He is leading the offense to 27.9 points per game on the season. Defensively, Miami has struggled, allowing 32.3 points per contest.

In terms of Injuries, Florida State offensive lineman Trey Pettis is doubtful with a head injury while tackle Garrett Faircloth is doubtful with a hip injury. Miami safety Rayshaw Jenkins is questionable with an upper body injury.
