TORONTO, CANADA (The Spread) – The Blue Jays host the Mariners tonight at 7:07PM ET and the over has been red hot when these two teams have met.
According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetDSI, the Mariners are -160 money line favorites over the Blue Jays, who are +147 money line underdogs. The total for tonight’s game is currently sitting at 7 runs.
Just like in the Blue Jays’ 14-4 win on Monday night against the Mariners, the over has been a hot play for bettors when these two teams meet. The over is 5-1 in the last six meetings between these two teams, 4-1 in the last five meetings when the game is played in Toronto, and 4-1 in Felix Hernandez’s last five starts against the Blue Jays.
The over is also 4-0 in the Mariners’ last four games overall, 4-0 in their last four road games and 4-1 in the Mariners’ last five games following a loss. The over is 2-0-2 in Hernandez’s last four Tuesday starts, 5-0 in his last five starts as a road favorite of between -151 and -200, and 8-2 in his last 10 starts versus American League East competition.
On the other side, the over is 5-1 in the Blue Jays’ last six home games, 4-1 in their last five games versus a right-handed starter and 4-0 in their last four games on Tuesdays. The over is also 4-0 in R.A. Dickey’s last four home starts, 5-1 in his last six starts during Game 2 of a series and 8-3 in his last 11 starts overall.
