Spencer Knight turned aside 29 of 30 shots during Monday’s 6-1 win over the Buffalo Sabres. It looked like Knight was going to come away with a shutout tonight, but Buffalo’s John Hayden scored with just over six minutes remaining in the game. The 20-year-old has now won three of his last four decisions and he’s allowed just one goal in each of those victories. He has a 10-6-2 record with a 3.10 goals-against-average and a .902 save percentage this season. He’s had a tough year, but he’s upside is still huge.
Pittsburgh Penguins DFS Spin
Sidney Crosby scored a goal and notched an assist in Friday’s 3-2 overtime loss to the Carolina Hurricanes. Crosby deposited a goal off a beautiful set-up by Jake Guentzel to give the Penguins a 2-0 lead at the 13:53 mark of the first period. The 34-year-old also picked up a secondary assist earlier in the period on Guentzel’s 27th goal of the season. Crosby finished the game with a plus-2 rating, two shots on goal, and a hit in 19:28 of ice time. Sid the Kid has 18 goals and 36 assists in 45 games this season.
