Bet Tonight’s Devils vs. Hurricanes Game
Scott Wedgewood has been excellent in his brief starts for New Jersey this season, as the 23-year-old is 2-0-1 with a 0.66 goals-against-average and a .978 save percentage. He allowed just one goal on 26 shots in Friday’s 1-0 overtime loss to the Capitals, which was Wedgewood’s first loss of his career.
After Eddie Lack played in net Saturday for the Hurricanes, Cam Ward will get the starting nod today versus the Devils. Lack saved 33 of 37 shots in the loss and has allowed 10 goals in his last three starts. The more staggering statistic is how Lack faced a whopping 123 shots during that span. Ward’s defense doesn’t figure to be much better for him today.
