Ducks vs. Canadiens Prediction
The Ducks can clinch a playoff spot on Tuesday with one point against the Canadiens, but they’ll be without one of their key pieces.
According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, the Ducks are -175 money line favorites over the Canadiens, who have odds of +150 to pull off the upset. The over/under, meanwhile, currently sits at 5 goals.

Anaheim will be without left wing David Perron as it tries to close in on a playoff berth. Peron is considered week-to-week due to a shoulder injury that was suffered when he tried to check Mark Scheifele on the Jets in the second period on Sunday. Perron fell into the boards and once he left the game, he did not return.
Perron is a key piece for the Ducks because he’s helped the team resurrect their offense after he and Adam Clendening were acquired from the Penguins in a January 15 trade for Carl Hagelin. Perron has eight goals and 12 assists in 28 games with Anaheim, playing alongside top-line center Ryan Getzlaff.

At -175, the Ducks are too expensive to play on the moneyline tonight, but with Perron out their offense takes a hit. The under has cashed in five of the last six meetings between Anaheim and Montreal and is also 2-0-4 in the Habs’ last six games overall.
