Tampa Bay Bucs DFS Spin
ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports Chris Godwin (knee) is expected to play in Week 1 against the Cowboys. Godwin suffered a torn ACL in Week 15 of the 2021 season. The initial expectation was that he would miss a handful of games to open the year, but his recovery has gone better than expected. It’s possible that he is on a snap count for Week 1, but even a limited Godwin is still a fantastic fantasy option. Through 14 games, Godwin was the WR5 last year. He’s a risky but high-upside bet in Week 1 versus the Cowboys.
Dallas Cowboys DFS Spin
Michael Gallup (knee) will not play in Week 1’s game against the Buccaneers. No surprise, but Gallup did generally seem to make major progress this week. He participated in each of the three practice sessions and Mike McCarthy had encouraging words to say. Gallup could very well be up for Week 2, but the way this is trending he should probably be considered likely to play in Week 3. Whenever his first game occurs, it’s probably wise to expect a pitch count in his first action back from a torn ACL.
