Browns at Bears Preview
The Cleveland Browns still have to decide on a quarterback and hope their game with the Chicago Bears on Thursday night can help them choose between Brady Quinn and Derek Anderson.
Thanks to their 17-third quarter points, the Browns beat the Titans 23-17 last week to cover a pick’em game. The total was set at 38, so the over covered.
Jay Cutler and the Bears went into a hostile environment in Denver last week and beat the Broncos 27-17. Chicago was a 1.5-point underdog, so they earned a cover while the over 39.5 posted.
Oddsmakers from online sports book SPORTSBETTING.com have made the Bears 3-point favorites over the Browns on Thursday. The over/under total has been established at 36.
New head coach Eric Mangini has yet to decide between Quinn and Anderson at quarterback, although the former Notre Dame first round pick appears to have the edge. Expect both Quinn and Anderson to split plenty of snaps, which could give Cleveland an edge over a Chicago team that will rest its starters.
