TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (AP) – Florida State defensive coordinator Mark Stoops is counting on a better showing the second time around against big brother Bob Stoops and No. 1 Oklahoma.
The brothers hook up for a second straight year Saturday when fifth-ranked Florida State (2-0) hosts the Sooners (1-0).
The younger Stoops first try was a disaster as the Sooners ran up and down the field against the Seminoles in a 47-17 victory last year. And the score didn’t indicate how easy it was for Oklahoma.
But little brother Mark believes he learned a few things that day and is anxious to see if he won’t fare better when the teams meet again in one of the most highly anticipated games to be played in Tallahassee in years.
