Cooper Legas was 14-for-16 passing for 125 yards and two touchdowns during Saturday’s 78-28 victory over Idaho State. He also had six rushes for 18 yards. Legas had early success tossing the football against a weak Idaho State team. He threw two touchdowns in the second quarter and led Utah State to an absurd 45 point quarter. Air Force’s tough defense will prove more difficult next week.

Zac Larrier was 2-for-3 passing for 95 yards and one touchdown during Saturday’s 42-7 win versus Robert Morris. He also had 14 rushes for 99 yards with two touchdowns. Larrier was the major rushing attack for Air Force including the two key touchdowns. The triple option attack favored Larrier holding onto the ball and rushing up the middle. Expect limited passing but lots of rushing moving forward.

Give me Utah State. This is too many points for a team that seemingly has its opponent figured out. The Aggies beat the Falcons 34-27 last year and won in 2021, 49-45. The offense has been good so far and the defense knows how to stack up against the run. It won’t be easy for the Aggies to pull off the upset but again, this is too many points to hand a quality Utah State team in this matchup.
