College Football Week 1 Top Picks

There are plenty of interesting plays for week 1 of the 2010 College Football Season, but here are three prime choices for Saturday.

Bet 2010 College Football Week 1 Odds

Purdue at Notre Dame, 3:30PM ET

Brian Kelly is making his debut with the Fighting Irish today and he will want to do things big. No matter the talent he has had to work with, his offenses have produced big numbers. Notre Dame should be able to score against an average Purdue defense and the Boilermakers are not a tremendous offense that the Irish should be able to control

Oregon State vs. TCU, 7:45PM ET

Oregon State isn’t getting much respect in this contest and the Beavers were 4-0 against the spread as an underdog away from home. TCU is a very skilled team with a strong defense, but Oregon State has the explosive playmakers that will be hard to keep from scoring. We think this game will be much closer than the spread indicates.

North Carolina vs. LSU, 8PM ET

LSU is far from a juggernaut on offense, but its defense is very good. North Carolina has struggled on offense under coach Butch Davis, and the Tar Heels are minus a lot of starters on defense due to NCAA investigations. UNC seemingly has a second-string defense playing in this game, which should allow LSU to score while the Tar Heels will struggle to post any points.
