Big 10 Meeting

Any chance for No. 15 Penn State to reach the BCS Championship game was lost last weekend, but the Nittany Lions can still pursue a Big Ten title

starting with a win at Illinois Saturday at 3:30PM ET from Memorial Stadium.

Bet Penn State at Illinois

A 21-10 loss to Iowa last weekend ruined the Nittany Lions hopes of an undefeated season. Now, Penn State has to focus on Illinois. Iowa scored 16 points in the fourth quarter of last week’s loss for Penn State. The Lions were held to 298 yards of offense, but had four turnovers. On the season, Daryll Clark has thrown for 958 yards and nine touchdowns and six interceptions while Evan Royster has rushed for 305 yards and three scores. Penn State ranks in the bottom half of the conference in most offensive categories, but is among the top on defense, including leading the Big Ten in points allowed, yards allowed, and rushing yards allowed.

The Illini is last in the Big Ten in points scored and also in passing yards as Juice Williams hasn’t gotten started in the passing game, throwing for just 256 yards with three interceptions and no touchdown passes. Illinois has scored just nine points in their two losses. On defense, the Illini ranks second to last in the conference in points allowed, but are third in rushing yards allowed.
