in the season opener had BYU thinking big picture, but a 54-28 loss to Florida State at home last weekend changed the focus to a conference championship. The Cougars allowed 512 yards of offense from the Seminoles, including 313 yards rushing. Max Hall still continued his strong season by throwing for 306 yards and two touchdowns, but had three interceptions. Hall has thrown for 944 yards and six touchdowns on the season. Four different receivers have over 100 yards for the Cougars, led by McKay Jacobson who has nine receptions for 259 yards and three scores. The Cougars led the conference in yards per-game but are third to last in rushing yards while leading in passing yards by almost 200 yards. BYU is also second to last in rushing yards allowed on defense.

Leonard Mason has rushed for 203 yards while John Mosure has added 143 yards rushing. Elijah-Blu Smith has three interceptions to lead the defense, a unit that ranks second in the conference in rushing yards allowed.
