Skills Challenge Odds
LOS ANGELES, CA (TheSpread) – The top point guards in the NBA will compete in the 2011 Skills Challenge on Saturday as part of All-Star Weekend.
The skills contest features point guards having to exhibit skills in shooting, passing, and dribbling. Each contestant goes through an obstacle course looking to post the fastest time.
Oddsmakers from online sportsbook Sportsbook.com have made Chicago’s Derrick Rose the favorite to win the event with 2/1 odds while other competitors are Chris Paul (3/1), John Wall (7/2), and Stephen Curry (4/1).
Rose won the 2009 competition and he averages 8.2 assists per game. He has a total of 435 assists to just 186 turnovers.
Paul has competed in this event three times but never won. He currently averages 9.6 assists per game and has a total of 557 assists to only 140 turnovers.
Wall is a rookie that is competing in this event for the first time. Wall averages 8.9 assists per game with a total of 373 assists and 154 turnovers.
Curry is competing in this event for the first time in his short NBA career. Curry averages 6 assists per game and has 282 total assists with 137 turnovers.
