LOS ANGELES, CA (TheSpread) – The 2011 NBA All-Star Game will feature all the best the NBA has to offer, but which player will shine the most on Sunday night?
Oddsmakers from online sportsbook SBGGLOBAL.com feel that LeBron James, Kevin Durant, and Kobe Bryant are the favorites to win the All-Star Game MVP award as each has 4/1 odds to win.
LeBron is playing in his seventh All-Star game. He is a two-time MVP winner, with the last one coming in 2008. He averages 23.7 points per All-Star game with 6.3 rebounds and 5.3 assists. This season James is posting averages of 26.1 points, 7.4 rebounds, and 7.3 assists for the Miami Heat.
Durant is playing in his second All-Star Game. He scored 15 points with five rebounds in his only other appearance. This season, Durant is averaging 28.9 points and 7 rebounds per game for the Oklahoma City Thunder.
Kobe is a three-time MVP winner. His last MVP came in 2009. Bryant is playing in his 13th All-Star Game this year. For his career, he is averaging 18.8 points, 4.5 rebounds, 4.6 assists, and 2.7 steals per All-Star Game. On the season, Bryant is averaging 25.1 points, 5.4 rebounds, and 4.8 assists for the L.A. Lakers.
