Brooks Koepka went a long way to defend his PGA Championship title in the first round of this weekendโ€™s major on Thursday. He now finds himself as the clear favorite.

According to the latest oddsmakers, Brooks Koepka is now listed as a 3/2 favorite to claim his fourth major this weekend. Other short odds to win are Dustin Johnson (10/1), Tommy Fleetwood (12/1) and Rickie Fowler (18/1). The 2019 PGA Championship continues Friday-Sunday from Bethpage Black in Farmingdale, New York

Koepka was very impressive in his first round, posting a 7-under, 63, to take a large lead. It wasnโ€™t until Danny Lee (28/1) posted a 64 later in the day that it looked like Koepka could have a four-shot lead entering the second round. Koepka has won three majors in his career, including last yearโ€™s PGA Championship. He has finished second or better in three of the last four major events.

Fleetwood is currently in third place on his own at -3 for the tournament after posting a 67 in his first round. Fleetwood has never won a major in his career, but he finished second in the 2018 U.S> Open and was in the top 20 in three of the four majors a year ago.

Fowler and Johnson are each at -1 for the tournament after shooting 69โ€™s on Thursday. Only 16 players are currently under par for the PGA Championship. Fowler is seeking his first major championship of his career. He did finish ninth in The Masters a month ago. DJ is a one-time major winner. He is coming off a second-place finish at Augusta.

Pre-tournament favorite Tiger Woods finds himself at +2 for the tournament after struggling his way to a 72 on Thursday. Woods was a 10/1 favorite to start the week and now is at 40/1 to win.
