2026 TOUR Championship Best Bets
Matt Fitzpatrick (+2500) is our outright pick to win the FedExCup. He closed the season second on TOUR in Strokes Gained: Total, third in approach play and fourth around the green. He won the Valspar Championship in March, then added a second at the RBC Canadian Open and a fourth at the Travelers. The course fit is just as strong. East Lake rewards fairways, precise irons and scrambling, which is Fitzpatrick’s whole game. His putter has joined in too, gaining 0.668 strokes per round over his last five starts.
What makes this wrong? He was only T28 at the BMW Championship, so he arrives without a sharp result. He also concedes distance, and a soft, long East Lake would tilt toward the bombers. We still prefer the price to the chalk. Scheffler is the better player, but +350 in a no-cut 30-man field leaves no margin for a cold putting week.
2026 TOUR Championship Picks: Mid-Tier Value Plays
Collin Morikawa (+1800) to win outright is the cleanest course-fit bet available. He led the TOUR in Strokes Gained: Approach the Green, and East Lake is an iron-play course above all else. He backed it up with a T4 at the BMW Championship and owns three top-10s in five starts here. The counter is obvious. He ranked 86th in putting and has not won in 2026, so quick Bermuda could expose him. The bet assumes his ball-striking edge survives an average week on the greens.
Russell Henley (+1400) in the Top American Player market offers more than his +3000 outright. Henley finished T2 at East Lake in 2025 and T4 in 2024, and he ranked eighth on TOUR in Strokes Gained: Putting. He gained nearly a full stroke per round on the greens over his last five starts. The risk is that Scheffler is +200 in this same market and Henley ranked just 58th in approach play. At 14-1, his East Lake record still makes it live.
Long Shot Picks for The 2026 TOUR Championship
Adam Scott (+5000) to win outright is the deep play worth a small position. He ranked 11th on TOUR in Strokes Gained: Approach, the most predictive category here, and his long-iron game suits a demanding par 70. His form firmed up late, with a T9 at The Open Championship and a T12 at the FedEx St. Jude Championship. What has to break right is the putting. He ranked 104th on the greens, and firm Bermuda does not rescue a cold week.
Jacob Bridgeman (+3500) in the 1st Round Leader market is a targeted one-day play. He finished the season first on TOUR in Strokes Gained: Putting at 0.704 per round, and first-round leader markets reward hot putting more than any other outright. He also arrives off a solo ninth at the BMW Championship. The case against is real: he ranked 75th off the tee and 113th around the green. Still, a 30-man field lifts the base rate on leading Thursday far above a normal week.
