UFC on Fuel TV 6 will take place from the Coati Center in Macao, China with the main card bouts airing live on Fuel TV at 9AM ET.
The main event of Saturday’s even features Rich Franklin (29-6) taking on Cung Le (8-2) in a middleweight clash. According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, Franklin is the favorite to win this event, as he has odds of -320 to win, while Le has been given odds of +260. Franklin is a former UFC middleweight champion. He has traded wins and losses over his last six bouts and is coming off a win last June. He is primarily a kickboxer that has some wrestling background. Le is an impressive striker. He uses kicks that many can’t, as he is similar to what you would see in a Bruce Lee movie. Le’s issue coming into the bout is he is dealing with a foot injury and he also has struggled with conditioning in his first two UFC bouts. This will be a five-round fight, and Franklin has proven he can go 25 minutes without much difficulty.
In the co-main event, light heavyweights Thiago Silva (14-3) and Stanislav Nedkov (12-0) meet up. According to oddsmakers, Silva is the favorite to win the fight, as he has odds of -340 to win while Nedkov has a money line of +270. Silva is just 1-3 with 1 no contest in his last five fights. He has struggled to get on a roll in the UFC since losing to Lyoto Machida back in 2009. Silva has big power in his hands and good submission skills, but he can be overly aggressive at times. Nedkov hasn’t lost in his career, but has just 1 UFC fight, beating Luiz Cane by TKO. Nedkov has good all-around skills, but this will be the biggest test of his career.
