UFC 155 will take place from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada with the main card bouts airing live on PPV at 10PM ET.
The main event of Saturday’s card is a bout for the UFC Heavyweight Championship as Junior Dos Santos (15-1) defends his title against Cain Velasquez (10-1). According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, Dos Santos is the favorite to retain his title, as he has odds of -200 to beat Velasquez, while he has odds of +160 to win. Dos Santos actually gave Velasquez his only loss, knocking him out in 64 seconds in November of 2011. Junior is 9-0 in the UFC, winning his last two bouts by knockout. Velasquez bounced back from the loss to Dos Santos with a first round TKO win over Antonio Silva in impressive fashion. He has had his last three wins end by first round knockout. Both men have big hands, but Dos Santos landed the big punch in the first fight.
The co-main event of Saturday’s card is a lightweight clash between Jim Miller (21-4) and Joe Lauzon (22-7). According to oddsmakers, Millers is the favorite in this bout, as he has odds of -220 to win, while Lauzon comes in with a money line of +180. Miller has lost two of his last three fights after earning a faux No. 1 contender spot. Lauzon has won three of his last four bouts, all by submission. Two of those wins came within the first two minutes of the fight. Both men are aggressive fighters, but Lauzon tends to start very fast and can then fade down the stretch. Miller tends to have better pacing and can grind out victories with his wrestling.
