EAST RUTHERFORD, NJ (The Spread) – As of right now, it would appear as though the Seahawks will have Percy Harvin in uniform for Super Bowl XLVIII.

Seahawks coach Pete Carroll told reporters last week that Harvin looked “100 percent” in practice and will play in Super Bowl XLVIII “with no limitations.” Harvin suffered a concussion against the Saints in the Divisional Round of this year’s playoffs and had to miss the NFC title game against the 49ers. He also missed most of the season after having hip surgery during the offseason.

Having Harvin on the field would be a huge luxury for a Seattle team that has struggled mightily offensively over the past month. Russell Wilson has struggled to find consistency with his receivers, although Doug Baldwin did put together an excellent game against the 49ers two weeks ago. It’s just a matter of how much Harvin will play, or whether or not he’ll even be effective after being held out for most of the year.

Will Harvin be injured during the game? According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, the odds are +200 for “Yes” and -300 for “No,” meaning that you’d receive $200 for every $100 wager that you placed on this prop bet. Or, if you don’t think he’ll be injured, you’ll receive $100 for every $300 that you wagered. (According to Bovada.lv the injury must be reported by the broadcasters and Harvin can’t return to the game.)

Given the fact that he’s missed so much time, Harvin has decent odds to win the Super Bowl XLVIII MVP at 18/1. Only Peyton Manning (11/10), Marshawn Lynch (15/4) and Russell Wilson (15/4) have better odds, although oddsmakers might be banking on the fact that most casual bettors will recognize Harvin’s name and lay coin on the familiarity of the receiver.

The Broncos remain 2-point favorites versus the Seahawks for Super Bowl XLVIII and the over/under total is sitting at 47 points.
