Florida Panthers DFS Spin
Sergei Bobrovsky stopped 19-of-22 shots during regulation and overtime in Saturday’s 4-3 shootout win over the Ottawa Senators. Bobrovsky was very nearly blown off the ice early, surrendering goals to Alex Formenton, Artem Zuib and Dylan Gambrell into the second period while falling behind 3-0 on the scoreboard. The veteran would do a fantastic job locking things down from that point forward, though, going the rest of the way without allowing a goal — and that includes in shootout action. Bobrovsky has now allowed three goals in each of his last three starts, but given the way he finished this one out, we’ll be curious to see if he opens hot when he next takes to the ice. We are guessing that barring emergency need on Sunday, Bobrovsky will sit against Toronto as Florida finishes off the second dance step in their weekend back-to-back.
Toronto Maple Leafs DFS Spin
Auston Matthews scored a goal in Saturday’s 4-2 loss to the Montreal Canadiens. Matthews rang the proverbial dinner bell just 36 seconds into the contest, scoring a goal against Jake Allen to get the Maple Leafs off to a nice start. Toronto tried very, very hard for the win on Saturday, pitching in 51 total shots against Allen, but their offense just could not gain the requisite foothold needed to carve out enough room on the scoreboard. On the whole this season, Matthews has posted 47 goals and 81 points across 59 games played. Those 81 points are the most he has scored in a season to date, while those 47 goals are tied for his best career mark (both goal and point marks were set during Matthews’ 2019-20 season).

On the other side, the Maple Leafs are 21-7 in their last 28 home games, are 20-8 in their last 28 games against Eastern Conference opponents and are 4-0 in their last four games versus an opponent with a winning percentage above .600.
