Alex Ovechkin scored a goal in Sunday’s 3-2 loss to the Dallas Stars. Ovechkin beat Jake Oettinger for a goal a few minutes into the second period. That drew the Capitals to within 2-1 on the scoreboard, but Washington just couldn’t close that one-goal gap before the end of the game. Overall this season, Ovechkin has posted a sharp 40 goals and 76 points across 62 games played. The star vet has now put in goals in each of his last four games.
