Two storied franchises meet in the opening round of the 2010 Stanley Cup Playoffs when the New Jersey Devils face the Philadelphia Flyers starting on Wednesday at 7:30PM ET.

The Devils have the home ice advantage as the No. 2 seed in the Eastern Conference while the Flyers enter the playoffs as the No. 7 seed.
Oddsmakers from online sports book BroburySports.com have given New Jersey a betting line of -240 to win this series while Philadelphia has been given a +180 line.
The Devils enter the playoffs with 103 points and 48 wins as they were the champions of the Atlantic Division. The Devils scored 222 goals while allowing just 191. The 191 goals allowed were the fewest of any NHL team. New Jersey enters the playoffs having won just five of their last 10. The Devils have won three Stanley Cups in franchise history while winning four conference championships, the last of which came in 2003.
The Flyers come into the playoffs with 88 points after winning 38 games this season. The Flyers scored 236 goals on the season, but allowed 225. The Flyers won just four of their last six heading into the playoffs. The Flyers have not won the Stanley Cup since 1975, but they have seven conference titles to their credit, the last of which came in 1997.
