Canucks vs. Kings Odds
The Vancouver Canucks arenβt getting much respect when it comes to Stanley Cup expectations, but they can change that when they open the playoffs Thursday against the L. A. Kings.
The Canucks enter the playoffs as the No. 3 seed while the Kings are the No. 6 seed. Vancouver is a heavy favorite to beat the Kings and move on to the second round of the Western Conference playoffs.
Oddsmakers from online sports book Sportsbook.com have given Vancouver a betting line of -250 to win this series while Los Angeles has been given a +190 line.
The Canucks enter the playoffs with 103 points as they were champions of the Northwest Division. Vancouver scored 272 goals this season while allowing only 222. Vancouver was 30-8-3 at home this season, which was the best home record of any team in the NHL. The Canucks ended the season by winning five of their last 10 games. Vancouver has never won the Stanley Cup but they have two conference titles, the last of which came in 1994.
The Kings enter the playoffs with 101 points after winning 46 games this year. The Kings scored 241 points on the year while allowing just 219. Los Angeles finished the year by winning just four of their last 10 games. The Kings have never won the Stanley Cup title, and have just one conference title, which came in 1993.
