Chicago fans are hopeful that 2010 will be the year the Chicago Blackhawks win the Stanley Cup. That road begins Friday when they face the Nashville Predators at 8:30PM ET.
The Blackhawks enter the playoffs as the No. 2 seed in the Western Conference while the Predators are the No. 7 seed. Chicago is a heavy favorite to win this series.
Oddsmakers from online sports book Sportsbook.com have given Chicago a betting line of -400 to win this series while Nashville has been given a +300 line.
The Chicago Blackhawks scored 112 points this year to win the Central Division. Chicago racked up 52 wins, most of any Western Conference teams. The Blackhawks scored 271 goals while allowing 209. Chicago has won six of its last 10 games to end the year. The Blackhawks haven’t won the Stanley Cup since 1961 and haven’t won the Western Conference title since 1992.
The Predators have never won the Stanley Cup title or the Western Conference title in franchise history. Nashville scored 100 points during the season as they won 47 games on the year. The Predators scored 225 goals on the season and also gave up 225 goals. The Predators finished the season by winning six of their last 10 games.
