Titans vs. Chargers Odds
San Diego is in a free fall and has to do whatever it can to win on Sunday when the Chargers host the Tennessee Titans at 4:05PM ET.
The Chargers are now 2-5 on the season and 2-1 at home while the Titans are 5-2 on the season and 3-0 on the road. The Chargers have won seven of their last eight against Tennessee, including their last four in San Diego.
Oddsmakers from online sportsbook BroburySports.com have made San Diego a 4-point favorite at home against the Titans. The over/under has been set at 44.5.
Opening odds had San Diego favored by 3.5 points and the spread has increased by Β½ a point during the week. The Over/under is still where it opened, at 44.5, but it was as high as 45 and as low as 44 during the week.
The Chargers have lost three straight after a 23-20 loss at home to New England last weekend. The Chargers havenβt won on the road this season and now have a loss at home as well. The Chargers have given up at least 20 points in five of seven games. Philip Rivers has thrown for 2,344 yards and 13 touchdowns while Mike Tolbert and Ryan Mathews have combined for over 550 rushing yards and seven touchdowns. Antonio Gates has 35 receptions for 340 yards and eight touchdowns while Kevin Burnett has 38 tackles and five sacks to lead the defense.
The Titans are 5-2 on the year and have been road warriors, winning all three games on the road. Tennessee has won three straight, scoring at least 30 points in those games. In all five wins, Tennessee has scored at least 29 points. Chris Johnson has rushed for 662 yards and seven touchdowns so far this season while Vince Young and Kerry Collins have combined for just under 1,300 passing yards and 12 touchdowns. Stephen Tulloch is leading the defense with 71 tackles while Jason Babin and Dave Ball each have six sacks.
San Diego is 2-5 this season but Tennessee is 0-6 ATS in the last six meetings between these two teams.
San Diego receivers Malcom Floyd and Legedu Naanee are doubtful to play with hamstring injuries while kicker Nate Kaeding is also doubtful with a groin injury. Tennessee quarterback Vince Young will play despite suffering a knee injury two weeks ago.
