NFL Week 8 Point Spreads
The Colts get a shot at redemption against the Texans on Monday night, while the Patriots host Brett Favre and the Vikings Sunday afternoon. Read on to check out our 2010 NFL Week 8 Point Spread Odds & Over/Under Totals.
In Week 1, Arian Foster and the Texans ran roughshod over the Colts in an impressive home victory. But now Indy gets a chance to host its divisional rivals at home this week on Monday Night Football and have the chance for payback. Oddsmakers from online sports book Sportsbook.com have made the Colts a 5.5-point opening favorite for this AFC South bout.
Fresh off their victory over the Chargers in Week 7, the Patriots return home to host a banged up Favre and a reeling Minnesota team. The Vikings are currently a 4.5-point underdog, but that line could move up if Favre (ankle/elbow) is unable to play.
Speaking of reeling, the Saints will host the Steelers Sunday afternoon and find themselves as 1-point underdogs after losing to the lowly Browns in Week 7. The Saints have been without Reggie Bush and Pierre Thomas, which have caused them to lose two of their last three games. Pittsburgh, meanwhile, will be coming off a controversial win over the Dolphins.
After a poorly performed game against the Patriots, the Chargers still find themselves favored against the Titans this week. San Diego opened as a 3.5-point favorite, but the public may have something to do with that line moving down throughout the week.
