Week 4 NFL Point Spread Odds
A huge early-season matchup in the AFC North highlights the Week 4 schedule in the NFL. Let’s take a look at the point spread odds and over/under totals for this weekend’s NFL action.
Baltimore Ravens at Pittsburgh Steelers
Who would have thought that the Steelers would be 3-0 without Ben Roethlisberger? Their defense has played outstanding in the first three weeks of the season and they got a huge lift from backup Charlie Batch, who shredded the Buccaneers in Week 3. The Ravens are 2-1, but have stumbled a little despite their record. Their defense played well the first two weeks, but managed to give up 17 points to the winless Browns last Sunday, while the offense finally got back on track against Cleveland after two poor efforts the previous two games. Oddsmakers from online sports book BroburySports.com have made the Steelers a 1-point favorite for when these two teams clash in Pittsburgh on Sunday. The over/under has opened at 34.5 points.
Washington Redskins at Philadelphia Eagles
The Eagles have been on cruise control with Michael Vick at the helm over the last two weeks, producing road wins over the Lions and Jaguars. The Eagles return to Philly this weekend to take on a Redskins team that has lost two in a row since beating the Cowboys in the opener. Looking at the point spread and odds for this game, oddsmakers have installed the Eagles as a 6.5-point favorite, although that number is sure to go up throughout the week.
San Francisco 49ers at Atlanta Falcons
One team not too many people thought would be 0-3 is the 49ers, who have the unenviable task of playing a Falcons team coming off a huge win against the Saints in Week 3. The Niners have been brutal on the road so far this year, losing 31-6 to the Seahawks in Week 1 and then 31-10 to the Chiefs last Sunday. In their only home game of the year, the Falcons crushed the Cardinals 41-7, so San Fran certainly has its work cut out for it as 7-point underdogs this week.
