Redskins vs. Eagles Odds

The Philadelphia Eagles will look to make it three in a row this weekend when they host the Washington Redskins at 4:15PM ET. Let’s take a look at the point spread and trends for this matchup.

Game Preview:

Oddsmakers from online sports book SBGGLOBAL.com have made the Eagles 5.5-point favorites over the Redskins, while the over/under total is currently sitting at 43 points.

The Eagles are red-hot, winning two of their first three games with Michael Vick at the helm. They’ve failed to cover in two of their first three games, however, so they haven’t necessarily endeared themselves to bettors.

Of course, the real story here is Donovan McNabb, who returns to Philadelphia for the first time since his former team traded him in the offseason. There’s no doubt that McNabb is seeking a measure of revenge, but his team has not been good since beating the Cowboys on opening night. They’ve lost their last two games, including an embarrassing defeat last week in St. Louis.

Below is a preview of Sunday’s game.

Line Movement & Updated Odds:

The Eagles were 6.5-point favorites but apparently there are some Donovan McNabb backers out there because the line has since dropped to 5.5. The over/under total opened at 42.5 and while it rose to 43.5 at one point, it’s back down to 43.
