NFL Week 11 Line Movement
Which games are the sharps on this week in the NFL? Reading line movements can sometimes help figure that out. Continue reading for our 2010 NFL Week 11 Line Movement Report.
Oddsmakers from online sports book Sportsbook.com opened the line between the Bengals and Bills at 5, but the line moved up to 5.5 and is now Cincinnati –6. The over/under has stayed put at 44.
The Cowboys opened as 7-point favorites over the Lions but the line has steadily moved down throughout the week and is now down to 6. The over/under total opened at 46 and went up to 47 before dropping back down to 46, where it currently sits now.
The Chiefs opened as 7-point favorites over the Cardinals and while the line held steady for most of the week, it eventually climbed up to 7.5 and now 8. The over/under total opened at 42 and now it’s all the way up to 44.
The Jets opened as 7-point favorites over the Texans but the line immediately dropped to 6.5. As the week wore on, however, the line went back up to 7, which is where it currently sits. The over/under opened at 44.5 but is now up to 46.
According to NFL odds, the Jaguars opened as a 2-point favorite but the line has dropped throughout the week and is now at Browns +1. The over/under total opened at 42 but quickly rose to 42.5 and is now up to 44.
The Steelers opened as an 8-point favorite over the Raiders but the line has steadily dropped since the start of the week. It fell to 7.5 midweek and is now down to Pittsburgh –7. The over/under total opened at 41 and while it rose to 42 at one point, it has settled in at 41.5.
The mess that is the Panthers opened as an 8.5-point underdog against the Ravens this week but when the news broke that Brian St. Pierre would be starting for Carolina, the line jumped all the way to 10.5. The over/under total is currently 37.5 after opening at 37.
The Vikings opened as a 3-point home underdog against the Packers at most books and that’s where the line currently sits. Some books did have Minnesota listed as a 1-point underdog but the line has steadily gone up to three almost everywhere.
The Titans opened as a 7-point favorite over the Redskins and the line has not moved. The over/under opened at 43 in some places but it’s now 44 at most books.
The Falcons-Rams line has stayed steady throughout the week. Sam Bradford and St. Louis opened as a 3-point home underdog and that’s where the line currently sits. The over/under total is currently 43 after opening at 42.5.
The 49ers opened as a 3.5-point favorite over the Bucs at some books but they’re listed at –3 at most places right now. The over/under total is now 41.5 after opening at 40.5.
Drew Brees and the Saints opened as a 12-point favorite but apparently some people are seeing value in the Seahawks because the line has since dropped to 11. The over/under has held steady at 44, however.
For the big matchup between the Patriots and Colts, New England opened as a 3-point favorite but eventually climbed to –3.5. Now they’re sitting at –4 while the over/under total is currently 50.5. Per NFL public betting information, 56% of the betting public favors the Patriots.
The Eagles opened as a 3-point favorite over the Giants on Sunday Night Football and that’s where the NFL odds currently sit. The over/under total for this game is at 48 after opening at that same number.
The Chargers opened as a 9.5-point favorite over the Broncos on Monday Night Football but now they’re being offered at –10 at most books. The over/under total is currently 50.5 points after opening at 48.
