The Miami Dolphins are a .500 team halfway through the season but they are seeking their first win at home on Sunday when they host the Tennessee Titans.
Miami s 4-4 on the season but 0-3 on the road while Tennessee is 5-3 overall and 3-1 on the road. The Under has hit in the last five games in this series at Miami while the Titans are 4-1 against the spread in their last five games following a loss.
Oddsmakers from online sports book Sportsbook.com have made Tennessee a 1-point favorite at Miami on Sunday. The over/under total has been set at 43.
The game opened with an even point spread and during the week Tennessee was as much as a 2-point favorite before settling in at -1. The over/under total opened at 41.5. and climbed throughout the week to end at 43.
Miami is coming off a 26-10 loss to Baltimore last week and after the loss, the Dolphins decided to make a change at quarterback, opting to now start Chad Pennington over Chad Henne. Henne has thrown for 1,900 yards and eight touchdowns with 10 interceptions this year while Pennington hasn’t taken a snap in a game. Ronnie Brown is the leading rusher with 433 yards and two touchdowns while Brandon Marshall has 52 receptions for 618 yards and one touchdown. Karlos Dansby and Yeremiah Bell each have 60 tackles to lead the defense while Cameron Wake has nine sacks.
The Titans are coming off a bye and during that time, the team added Randy Moss off waivers. Vince Young has thrown for 998 yards and nine touchdowns in seven games, but may not play on Sunday due to a knee injury. Kerry Collins has thrown for 587 yards and five scores in his absence. Chris Johnson has rushed for 721 yards and eight touchdowns on the season while the defense is led by Stephen Tulloch, who has 79 tackles. Jason Babin has added seven sacks.
Bell is questionable for the Dolphins with a toe injury while Young is listed as questionable for the Titans. Randy Moss is expected to play despite being with the team for just a week.
Just under 19,000 public bets have been placed on this game with the Titans getting 76% of the wagers at -1 against the Dolphins on Sunday.
