Tyson Mobley caught seven of eight targets for 109 yards and one touchdown Saturday. Mobley’s eight targets Saturday marked a season high for the junior receiver, as did his 109 receiving yards. He has now scored in back-to-back games heading into Coastal Carolina’s bowl selection Sunday.
East Carolina Pirates Game Notes
Ryan Jones announced Friday that he will not be playing in the Birmingham Bowl against Coastal Carolina as he starts to prepare for the 2023 NFL draft, Stephen Igoe of 247Sports.com reports. Jones transferred to the Pirates in 2021 after he was unable to carve out a role at Oklahoma and was quite impactful. He combined to have 79 catches for 859 yards and nine touchdowns across two seasons and will look to test his talents at the highest level.
