CFB Week 9 Line Movement

Point spreads don’t tend to stick in College Football and he is a look at how the lines have moved throughout the week in Week 9 of the Top 25 Schedule.

No. 20 Oklahoma State opened the week as a 6-point favorite on the road against Kansas State according to oddsmakers from online sports book SBGGLOBAL.com. Since the spread opened at 6, it has worked its way down and now finds itself at 5. The spread may have dropped during the week as K-State coach Bill Snyder has never lost to the Cowboys at home.

2010 College Football Week 9 Line Movements (For Top 25 Games Only)

No. 22 Miami vs. Virginia, Noon ET

The opening odds had Miami favored by 15 points on the road. The line had jumped up to 15.5 before settling in at 14.5. The over/under hasn’t chance since opening at 51.

No. 20 Oklahoma State vs. Kansas State, Noon ET

Opening point spread odds had Oklahoma State favored by 6 points and the line has slowly worked its way down to 5 points. The over/under total opened at 66.5 and dropped to 66 before moving up to 67.

Tennessee vs. No. 17 South Carolina, Noon ET

South Carolina opened as a 17.5-point favorite this week and it finished that was before going as high as 18 and as low as 17. The over/under hasn’t changed since opening at 49

No. 5 Michigan State vs. No. 18 Iowa, 3:30PM ET

The opening odds have not changed since Iowa opened as a 6.5-point favorite against Michigan State. The over/under point total opened at 50, but has since added a hook to get to 50.5.

No. 7 Missouri vs. No. 14 Nebraska, 3:30PM ET

Nebraska opened as a 7-point favorite and the line held steady most of the week before adding the hook at 7.5. The over/under opened at 55 and climbed up to 56 late in the week.

No. 15 Arizona vs. UCLA, 3:30PM ET

Opening odds had Arizona as a 9.5-point favorite against UCLA. The line dipped as low as 8 during the week before settling in at 9. The over/under started at 49 and then added the hook later in the week to get to 49.5.

No. 3 Auburn vs. Mississippi, 6PM ET

The point spread odds haven’t changed at all this week since opening at Auburn -7. The over/under total opened at 61.5 and has slowly worked down to 60.5.

No. 25 Baylor vs. Texas, 7PM ET

The opening odds had Texas favored by 7.5-points, but that line has dropped down to 7 now. The over/under point total began at 53 but has added the hook at 53.5.

No. 13 Stanford vs. Washington, 7PM ET

The opening odds had Stanford favored by 7.5-points, but the hook was dropped during the week and the spread fell to 7. The over/under hasn’t changed since opening at 63.

Kentucky vs. No. 23 Mississippi State, 7PM ET

The opening odds had Mississippi State as a 7-point favorite and the spread has alternated between 7 and 6 all week before settling in a 6. The over/under point total opened at 55.5 and has slowly climbed up to 57 during the week.

Vanderbilt vs. No. 19 Arkansas, 7PM ET

Opening odds had Arkansas favored by 21.5 points but the line has moved down all week and is now at 20. The over/under opened at 54 and was up to 55 before dropping back to 54.5.

No. 8 Utah vs. Air Force, 7:30PM ET

Opening odds had Utah favored by 7 but the hook was added for part of the week before settling back at 7. The over/under opened at 54.5 but moved up to 55 at the end of the week.

No. 10 Ohio State vs. Minnesota, 8PM ET

The opening odds had Ohio State favored by 25 and the point spread went up to 26 during the week before coming back down to 25. The over/under opened at 55 before falling back to 54.5.

No. 1 Oregon vs. No. 24 USC, 8PM ET

The opening odds had Oregon favored by 7 points but the line dropped down to 6.5 during the week. The over/under point total opened at 70 and has since added a point to get to 71.

Colorado vs. No. 11 Oklahoma, 9:15PM ET

Oklahoma opened the week as a 24-point favorite against Colorado but the line has dropped a hook down to 23.5. The over/under point total began at 54 and has since added a hook to 54.5.

No. 4 TCU vs. UNLV, 11PM ET

The opening odds had TCU favored by 35.5 points and the line has slowly dropped down to 34.5. The over/under has been set at 54, where it opened, despite moving up to 54.5 during the week.
