Boise State is a 22.5-point favorite according to oddsmakers from online sports book BroburySports.com. The over/under has been set at 53.
The Broncos are 1-0 on the year, cover the spread in that lone game while also hitting the over. Boise State is 8-1 ATS on grass fields over the last three years and also 8-2 ATS in non-conference games during that stretch. Boise State is also 9-2 ATS in road games since 2008 and 18-6 ATS in all line gamed in that time period. The Broncos have hit the under for the most part as they have went under in 7-of-10 non-conference games since 2008 and hit the under in all five games after coming off a bye since 2008.
Wyoming is 1-1 on the year and 1-0 against the spread while hitting the under in that game. The Cowboys are 4-7 ATS in home games since 2008 and 2-3 ATS in that stretch when they are underdogs of 21.5-to-31 points. Wyoming has hit the over in 7-of-11 home games over the past three seasons.
Boise State is fresh and already having to defend itself after Virginia Tech lost to James Madison last week. The Broncos know they have to win and win big throughout the year to have a shot to play for a national title. Wyoming isn’t an awful team, but we think the Broncos will not take their foot off the gas as they cover and hit the over in a one-sided contest.
