Utah State vs. Boise State Odds
BOISE, ID (TheSpread) – No. 9 Boise State looks to end its regular season on a positive as the Broncos host Utah State at 3PM ET on Saturday.
Boise State is 10-1 on the year and 6-1 in the WAC while Utah State is 4-7 on the season and 2-5 in conference play. Boise is 5-0 at home and Utah State is 1-4 on the road this season.
Trends show that the Aggies are 1-9-2 against the spread in their last 12 games against Boise State and 0-3-2 ATS in their last five at Boise State. The over has hit in five of the last six meetings between these two.
Oddsmakers from online sportsbook SBGGLOBAL.com have made Boise State a 37.5-point favorite at home on Saturday. The over/under total has been set at 61.5 points. (View Matchup)
Opening odds had Boise State favored by 40 points but the spread has quickly dropped down to 37.5 points. The over/under opened at 61 and that has simply added a hook since then.
Boise State is coming off a 34-31 overtime loss to Nevada where the Broncos missed a pair of field goals inside the 30-yard line in the closing moments of the game. On the season, Boise State ranks second in the FBS at 46.4 points per game while ranking fourth in scoring defense at 13.5 points per game. Kellen Moore has thrown for 3,269 yards and 30 touchdowns on the year while Titus Young has caught 61 passes for 1,117 yards and nine scores.
Utah State is coming off a 28-6 loss to Idaho last week. It was the fourth loss in the last six games for the Aggies. Utah State is giving up 32.3 points per game while scoring just 22.7 per game. The Aggies do have a respectable rushing attack, which averages 161.3 yards per game. Derrvin Speight has rushed for 753 yards and eight touchdowns on the season to lead the offense.
Utah State safety Walter McClenton is questionable for Saturday’s game with an ankle Injury while Boise State linebacker Byron Hout will miss the rest of the season with a foot injury.
A little over 3,500 Public Bets have been placed on this game with Boise State getting 79% of the wagers at -37.5 against Utah State.
