Army vs. Navy Odds

PHILADELPHIA, PA (TheSpread) – The lone game on the college football schedule for this weekend is the annual classic between Army and Navy.

Army is 6-5 on the season and 2-3 in home games while Navy is 8-3 on the year and 3-2 on the road. This game will be played from Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia

Trends show that Navy is 6-2 against the spread in their last 8 meetings with Army and the favorite has covered the odds in the last 9 games of the series. The under has also hit in the last 4 games of this series.

Oddsmakers from online sportsbook Sportsbook.com have made Navy a 7.5-point favorite against Army on Saturday. The over/under total has been set at 52.5. (View Matchup)

Opening odds had Navy favored by 7.5 points and the odds dropped down to 7 and climbed up to 8 before settling back at 7.5. The over/under total opened at 56.5 points but the total quickly dropped and is now settled in at 52.5.

Army has alternated wins and losses over the last eight games of the season, with the Knights coming off a 27-3 loss to Notre Dame on Nov. 20. Army is averaging just under 340 yards of offense per game, with 260.3 yards coming on the ground. On defense, the Knights are allowing just over 330 yards per game, including 141.7 rushing yards per contest. Jared Hassin is leading Army this season as he has rushed for 881 yards and nine scores while Trent Steelman has thrown for five touchdowns and ran for 11.

Navy has won three straight games and the Midshipmen have scored at least 28 points in their last seven games. On the year, Navy averages over 400 yards of offense per game, including 302.5 rushing yards per game, which is fifth most in the nation. On defense, Navy is giving up just under 380 yards per game, with 151.6 of that coming on the ground. Ricky Dobbs is leading the team with 1,194 passing yards and 10 scores to go along with 806 rushing yards and 13 scores.

Navy receiver Mike Schupp is doubtful for Saturday’s game with a knee Injury while Army split back Malcom Brown is questionable with a collarbone injury.

A little over 18,700 Public Bets have been placed on this game and Navy is getting 67% of the wagers with -7.5 point spread odds against Army.
