The Hokies had just 155 yards of total offense, but stayed competitive thanks to a pair of turnovers and special teams play. Dyrell Roberts returned a kickoff 98 yards for a score in the game and averaged 48 yards per-return on the night.

The Thundering Herd defeated Southern Illinois 31-28 last weekend as quarterback Brian Anderson threw for 316 yards and three scores. Chuck Walker was the top receiving target of

Anderson, as he caught 10 passes for 119 yards while Cody Slate had nine receptions for 114 yards. Defensively,

Marshall forced three turnovers and had two sacks against the Salukis.
