Markquis Nowell recorded 11 points (5-13 FG, 1-9 3Pt), three rebounds and five assists in 38 minutes during Thursday’s 80-67 loss to TCU. Nowell logged one of his worst statistical showings of the season to go out in the Big 12 Tournament. The 5-foot-8 senior had been largely efficient with a 7.7:2.5 assist-to-turnover ratio heading into Thursday’s loss, though he’s now averaged 6.4 assists to 4.6 turnovers over the last 11 games. He’s also shot just 32.7 percent from the field and 28.6 percent on three-pointers during this span. Nowell will look to clean things up heading into the NCAA Tournament.
